Sealcoating

Asphalt Sealcoating is a process where a liquid asphalt coating is utilized as a coating to seal the asphalt surface.  The sealer acts as a barrier between the surface and the asphalt underlayment.  The sealer will then keep water from entering the underlayment.  As described before, keeping the water out of the asphalt will prevent the freezing and thawing during Michigan winters from disturbing the surface.

Winter sealing has to occur during the warmer months of the year.  The sealer is hot asphalt and it needs to be hot to provide the surface penetration resistance.  Call us during the spring and summer months to get on the calendar.
